About Easter Sunday
Easter Sunday celebrates the resurrection of Jesus in the Christian tradition. Western churches calculate it as the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after 21 March, so it can fall between 22 March and 25 April. Orthodox churches use the Julian calendar for the calculation, which means their Easter often falls on a different date.
